i distinctly remember this line from al pacino’s col.frank slade in scent of a woman, one of my favorite lines i must say.
a couple of weeks ago, there was a rerun of "My Stepmother Is an Alien" starring Dan Aykroyd and Kim Basinger, which I used to watch as a kid when it aired its reruns on tv. but i never noticed the "skit" that they performed having this line in it too, but with that "cha-cha-cha-cha-cha" then raising-the-hat-act, which i clearly remember is performed by Michael J. Fox in "Greedy" when his "Uncle Joe" asked him to when he first saw him in the house, and once again in a black and white film their relatives arranged, but as Little Danny.

The song is by Jimmy Durante and that is actually the name of it — "Did You Ever Have the Feeling That You Wanted to Go – And Still Had the Feeling That You Wanted to Stay."
