What about the sword in Jesus' mouth?
The original question by another member was deleted???? Here’s my take. Offer yours.
Jesus was the actual speaker at Creation, that Word being alive and all powerful, so much so all the Word of God is in fact Jesus. The Word became flesh and lived among men. When Jesus returns at the height of the Armageddon battle, his words that end it will be so real they will take on the form of a mighty sword. Ephes. 6:17 "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:"

Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

Some folks argue that Jesus would never have anything to do with an instrument of war. Here’s a little history of the basis for Peter’s sword. Jesus said in Matthew 10:34 "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword."

Jesus further instructed them…

Luke 22:36-38 "Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. [37] For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.

The men seemed eager to conclude Jesus’ speech with…
[38] And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough."

So it was Jesus was fully aware of a sword in a sheath in Peter’s possession.

John 18:10-11 "Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus. [11] Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?"

I’d say Jesus having some sort of sword is to be expected at the scene of a great battle. I would say Jesus will at that moment savor the rush of total victory over His enemies, yet not shedding a single drop of men’s blood.
Nowadays Christians will hold their Bible up calling it their sword. Did everyone bring their sword tonight? In OT times some Jewish congregations had one or more full or partial copies of the Torah, maybe a few other writings. Jesus and most certainly Paul might have got to read from the Greek Septuagint at Jerusalem or the synagogue, the OT Bible similar to ours today, but still not nearly the same "sword". "Word of God" = Sword through the many generations. Anyone scoffing over this argues hopelessly with testimonies and witnesses covering too many centuries, so it’s way too late to deny the antiquity or challenge the contents. Or maybe you’re a lot like the ignorant Mahmoud Ahmadinejad denying the Jewish holocaust against the preserved evidences in Germany and living victims. No, the Bible is indeed a very sharp instrument, able to slice and dice any unbeliever’s soul and spirit.

The sword referred to is the Word of God (Holy Bible)

Isa 49:2 And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;
Rev 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance [was] as the sun shineth in his strength.
Rev 2:16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Rev 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which [sword] proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

That’s very interesting. I never would have thought of it that way. I always wondered what was meant by Jesus having a sword coming out of His mouth, and that explanation makes it a lot clearer.

That sounds like absolute nonsense. Why do you waste your time with this hocus pocus gibberish? Surely there are more important real things to worry about than this fantasy nonsense.

Don’t forget Revelation 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. 2:16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God .19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

I haven’t asked a question in quite a long time and I don’t think I’ve saw this question before,
So which do you like better the "Invincible"album or the "Off the Wall" album?
